In my vision people are free and happy, and all Win32 programers who want to support loading and saving of images can get free DLLs that fulfill their needs. All those DLLs have the same programming interface and offer wide variety of great features. And that's how Open Image was created!
So I gathered my experience from working on "Image Viewer" and "Image Organizer" and gave it all a lot of thought. I came up with pretty cool conclusion that all operations on image can be divided into three basic groups, and thus programing interface can be made very simple. Open Image is now in version 0.6 and I'm still working on it alone. It would be great to have people recognize and accept this, so, make me happy, send me feedback!
Well, there's already too much text on this page. Once I'm done with version 0.7, I'll split this page into areas for users and for programmers, 'cause they will all benefit from this.
NOTE: Due to the great number of projects I'm involved with, "Open Image" has been put on hold. I will continue to work on it, but other projects have greater priority right now.
For now, here are a few plugins and program for you to test and see if it's all worth the trouble:
